British paintings by native artists are understandably dear to the heart of the British collector. During the late 18th and the 19th century British artists excelled at landscapes; during the later 19th and the 20th century still life and flower paintings became very popular. Mark Mitchell Paintings & Drawings offers a varied selection of fine British paintings. These include all kinds of genres and styles, and most of them are affordably priced.

Our group of British paintings varies from a 17th century gamepiece by William Gowe Ferguson to 20th century pencil drawings by Augustus John and Raymond Ching. Also amongst our British paintings are contemporary watercolours of nudes by Stephen Rose and landscapes by Edward Wesson, as well as oil paintings by artists such as Norman Edgar, Albert Ludovici and Denys Wells.
